The Festival in a Nutshell
A Taste of West Cork Food Festival started in 2004 and it has gone from strength to strength ever since – not just in terms of numbers of visitors, exhibitors and events, but also in terms of its reputation throughout the region and the country. The word continues to spread, and the Food Festival has attracted people from all over Ireland, the UK and further afield. The aim of A Taste of West Cork has remained the same: we are celebrating the quality and diversity of our talented and innovative chefs, the skills of our superb independent and artisan food producers, and the range of high quality restaurants that abound in West Cork. The Festival is organised by a voluntary committee of local people, and is supported by the Skibbereen Business Association, with kind sponsorship from local and national organisations and suppliers. |
| Please contact us if you have any questions about the Festival, food and drink in West Cork or this beautiful part of the world. Also, please contact us if you would like to become a Festival sponsor, we welcome new partnerships. Above all, please come and see for yourself the high quality food that is produced here with such skill and care. Here in West Cork we have one of the highest concentrations of top-class food producers in the world.....why not come and see for yourself? You’ll be made welcome; we look forward to seeing you. |
